A better, women-centered breast exam
Bexa is revolutionizing care for women with early breast cancer detection. Bexa is an FDA-cleared 510(k) medical device that employs high resolution elastography to produce a map of abnormal breast tissues and masses. The results of a Bexa Breast Exam are provided to women immediately, at the end of the examination, making for a better breast exam experience.
Our dedicated Care Navigators will work with healthcare providers and systems in the Access to Breast Health for Texans intervention areas to ensure that women who require additional imaging after their Bexa Breast Exams receive the ongoing care they need.
Working with community partners, including churches that serve high need and underserved populations, we will provide Bexa Breast Exams free of charge to women in need in rural communities across Texas.
Partnering faculty and students at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center will design and implement a health education campaign to increase breast health literacy, knowledge, and self-efficacy among underserved women in the Access to Breast Health for Texans intervention areas.
We will also work with this transdisciplinary team at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to evaluate all aspects of Access to Breast Health for Texans, ensuring that we create an evidence-based, best practice model that can scale across and beyond Texas.
The Bexa Equity Alliance (BEA) is the nonprofit arm of Bexa. Our shared mission is to leave no woman behind by revolutionizing the way that women across the world experience care. We work with women to reimagine the breast exam and make it better – our proprietary, better Bexa Breast Exam is accurate, painless, radiation-free, highly mobile, and provides immediate results. Because the Bexa Breast Exam technology is easy to transport and our Exam can be delivered in any private setting, we work with community partners, including Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and churches, to deliver our Exams at their locations to the community members they serve.
