What is the Bexa Breast Exam?

A better, women-centered breast exam

Bexa is revolutionizing care for women with early breast cancer detection. Bexa is
an FDA-cleared 510(k) medical device that employs high resolution elastography to produce a map of abnormal breast tissues and masses. The results of a Bexa Breast Exam are provided to women immediately, at the end of the examination, making
for a better breast exam experience.

About the Bexa Equity Alliance

The Bexa Equity Alliance (BEA) is the nonprofit arm of Bexa. Our shared mission is to leave no woman behind by revolutionizing the way that women across the world experience care. We work with women to reimagine the breast exam and make it better – our proprietary, better Bexa Breast Exam is accurate, painless, radiation-free, highly mobile, and provides immediate results.​

The BEA provides our Bexa Breast Exams free of charge to women in need. Our Certified Bexa Examiners are highly trained, breast registered sonographers. Because the Bexa Breast Exam technology is easy to transport and our Exam can be delivered in any private setting, we work with community partners, including Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and churches, to deliver our Exams at their locations to the community members they serve. 

Meet the Executive Director of the Bexa Equity Alliance

Tiara Neal is the Founding Executive Director of the Bexa Equity Alliance (BEA).The BEA’s focus on providing life-saving, early breast cancer detection to women of color and under-resourced women is the direct result of Tiara’s personal journey. As a woman of color and cancer survivor, Tiara is a living example of the rising incidence of breast cancer among young women of color, as well as the challenges that millions of women across the world face in accessing quality early breast cancer detection. 

Together with Bexa and their growing tribe of changemakers, Tiara and the BEA are working to leave no woman behind – one Bexa Breast Exam at a time.
